The Role
The Prep Cook is an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing ingredients and components that allow our line cooks to deliver consistently outstanding dishes to every guest. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a passion for food — all while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients prior to service by washing, chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning according to standardized recipes
- Follow prep lists created by the kitchen leadership team to ensure all stations are fully stocked before service begins
- Properly label, date, and store all prepped items in accordance with food safety and rotation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area at all times
- Assist line cooks during service as directed by kitchen leadership
- Monitor and communicate inventory levels, alerting management when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow all health code requirements, sanitation procedures, and company policies at all times
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Participate in receiving and storing deliveries, verifying quality and quantity of incoming product
- Support the overall kitchen team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in a restaurant or professional kitchen preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Ability to follow written recipes and prep lists accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-first environment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous learning

Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

After 90 days. Must be in restaurant Field and based on GPA. Up to $500.00 per semester.
